Privacy Policy
Last revised: 24.08.2026
This policy explains what ApplyMe does with your personal information. ApplyMe is operated by Humblebee Solutions LTD, Vasili Michailidi 9, 3026 Limassol, Cyprus, which is responsible for your data.
It works alongside our Terms and Conditions and Refund Policy.
Where we operate. ApplyMe is offered to users in the United States only. We do not market or provide the service elsewhere.
The short version. To apply for jobs on your behalf, we send your resume and personal details to employers and job platforms. That is the service and it is not optional. We use AI to choose roles and rewrite your documents, and our staff read some of that output to check quality — which means people at ApplyMe see resumes. If you give us equal-opportunity information, we pass it on exactly as you gave it, and you can tell us not to. We do not sell your data. We do use advertising technologies that share limited site activity with ad platforms, and you can opt out. Detail below.
1. What we collect
Information you give us
- Account details: name, email address, phone number, password.
- Job search profile: target roles, industries, seniority, locations, salary expectations, work authorisation status, availability.
- Your resume and cover letters, and everything in them — work history, education, certifications, contact details, and anything else you chose to include.
- Support messages, survey responses and feedback.
Information created by using ApplyMe
- Resumes and cover letters we generate or adapt for you.
- The jobs we matched you to, the applications we submitted, when, and any responses received.
- Your settings, preferences and account activity.
Information collected automatically
- Device and browser type, IP address, approximate location from IP, pages viewed, referring source and similar technical data.
- Cookies and similar technologies — see Section 8.
Payment information
Card payments are handled by Stripe. We never receive or store your full card number. We receive confirmation of payment, the last four digits, card brand, billing country and postal code, and your subscription status.
2. Equal opportunity and other sensitive information
Many US employers include voluntary equal-opportunity questions in their application forms — ethnicity, gender, veteran status, disability status. Applications also ask about your authorisation to work in the United States.
How we handle this:
- We only hold this information if you give it to us.
- We fill in these fields exactly as you told us, and we do not guess, infer, or complete them from anything else.
- If you do not give us this information, we leave the fields blank or select the decline-to-answer option where one exists.
- You can change or remove it at any time in your account, and we will stop including it in future applications.
- We do not use it for matching, targeting, advertising, or any purpose other than completing the application field you asked us to complete.
Under California law this is sensitive personal information, and you have the right to limit how it is used. Because the only thing we use it for is filling in the form you asked us to fill in, there is no secondary use to limit — but you can withdraw it entirely at any time, and we will honour that.
Once an application containing this information has been submitted, it is held by that employer under their policies. We cannot recall it.
3. Where else we get information
Almost everything comes from you. We also receive payment and subscription status from Stripe, delivery and engagement data from our email and SMS providers, job listing data from listing providers (about roles, not about you), and limited attribution data from advertising platforms.
4. What we use it for
- Running your subscription: account, access, billing, receipts, renewal reminders.
- Matching you to roles, adapting your resume, generating cover letters.
- Submitting applications to employers on your behalf.
- Support.
- Checking and improving the quality of what our systems produce — see Section 6.
- Security, fraud prevention, abuse detection and handling payment disputes.
- Marketing emails and texts, where you have opted in.
- Advertising and measurement.
- Meeting legal, tax and accounting obligations.
5. Who we share it with
Employers, job boards and applicant tracking systems
This is the main disclosure and the reason the service exists. When we apply for a role for you, we transmit your application — resume, cover letter, contact details, and whatever else the form requires — to the employer and to whatever job board or applicant tracking system sits between you and them.
Once sent, that employer and platform hold your information under their privacy policies. We cannot recall it, delete it from their systems, or control what they do with it. To have it removed, contact them directly.
You can stop future applications at any time by pausing or cancelling. That does not affect applications already sent.
Our own team
Our staff and contractors review samples of matches, generated resumes and cover letters to check quality and correct problems. This means people at ApplyMe read resumes and generated documents, including yours.
Access is limited to the personnel who need it for this purpose. Everyone with access — employees and contractors alike — is bound by a signed non-disclosure agreement and by internal confidentiality and data handling policies. Access is logged and reviewed, and it is removed when a person's role no longer requires it.
Service providers
We share what is necessary with providers working for us under contract:
- payment processing (Stripe);
- AI and language model providers, for matching, resume adaptation and cover letter generation;
- job data providers;
- hosting and infrastructure;
- email and SMS delivery;
- analytics;
- customer support tooling.
Advertising platforms
We advertise on third-party platforms and use their measurement tags on our site, which report site activity and conversions back to the platform. This can let those platforms connect your activity with their own records about you.
Under California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia and similar state laws this may count as a "sale" or "sharing" of personal information even though no money changes hands. You can opt out — see Section 9.
We never use resume content, equal-opportunity information, job search history, or the applications we submit for advertising.
Legal and corporate
We disclose information where legally required, to protect our rights or someone's safety, and to a buyer or successor in a merger, acquisition or restructuring, with notice to you.
We do not sell your personal information for money.
6. AI, automation and human review
We use AI and automated systems throughout the service. They select which roles to match you to, rewrite your resume for individual postings, draft cover letters, and complete application forms.
An automated system decides which jobs are applied to in your name, without a person confirming each one. Automated systems make mistakes, including applying to roles that turn out to be a poor fit.
Our team reviews samples of this output to find and fix errors and to improve how our systems perform. That review involves reading real user documents, including yours.
You have the right to:
- see the applications submitted on your behalf;
- see the resumes and cover letters generated for you;
- ask us how a match was made;
- ask a person to review a specific decision;
- stop automated applications at any time by pausing or cancelling.
Use your account or email team@applyme.co.
We do not screen, score or reject you. Hiring decisions are made by employers using their own systems, which we neither control nor see.
7. How long we keep it
| Data | Retention |
|---|---|
| Account and profile | While your account is active, then 2 months after closure |
| Resumes and generated documents | While your account is active, then 2 months after closure |
| Application records | 2 months |
| Equal-opportunity information | Deleted when you remove it, or 2 months after account closure |
| Payment and transaction records | As required by tax and accounting law, typically 1 year |
| Auto-renewal consent records | At least 3 years, or one year after the contract ends, whichever is longer |
| Support correspondence | 1 year |
| Marketing consent and opt-out records | Until withdrawn, plus 2 months to honour the opt-out |
After that we delete or de-identify the data. Anything already sent to an employer stays with that employer.
8. Cookies and tracking
We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember your preferences, measure how our website and quiz are used, and support advertising and conversion measurement.
Cookies and similar technologies on our website and quiz are set by:
- Meta (Facebook) — advertising and conversion measurement
- Google — analytics, advertising and tag management
- Amplitude — product analytics: how people move through the quiz. Amplitude receives events such as which step was completed, not the answers you give.
- Stripe — payment processing and fraud prevention
You can manage these through our cookie banner and your browser settings. Disabling some will break parts of the site.
Inside your account. We do not run advertising or analytics trackers in your ApplyMe account. We keep technical logs of activity there, which we use to run the service, investigate problems and detect fraud — see Section 1.
We honour Global Privacy Control and similar browser signals as a valid opt-out of sale and sharing.
9. Your choices
Marketing emails. Unsubscribe link in every message.
Text messages. Only if you opted in separately. Reply STOP to stop, HELP for help. Message and data rates may apply. Agreeing to texts is never a condition of purchase.
Equal-opportunity information. Remove it in your account at any time.
Applications. Pause or cancel to stop future applications immediately.
10. Your privacy rights
Depending on your state, you may have the right to:
- know what personal information we hold and how we use and disclose it;
- get a copy in a portable format;
- correct inaccurate information;
- delete it;
- opt out of sale, sharing and targeted advertising;
- limit our use of sensitive personal information;
- not be treated differently for exercising these rights — we will not degrade your service or change your price;
- appeal a refusal, where your state provides for it.
How to exercise them. Email team@applyme.co with the subject line "Privacy Request," or use the controls in your account. We verify identity using the email on your account and may ask for additional confirmation before deleting data.
We respond within 5 days, and may extend once by a further 10 days for complex requests, telling you why.
Authorised agents may submit requests with your written permission.
California. Under Cal. Civ. Code § 1789.3 you may contact the Complaint Assistance Unit of the Division of Consumer Services of the California Department of Consumer Affairs, 1625 North Market Blvd., Suite N 112, Sacramento, CA 95834, or (800) 952-5210.
11. Where your data is held
Our systems are hosted in the United States.
12. Security
Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Access is limited to personnel who need it, all of whom are under signed non-disclosure agreements. We monitor for vulnerabilities and review access regularly. Card details are handled entirely by our payment processor and never reach our systems.
No system is completely secure. Use a strong, unique password and tell us immediately if you think someone else has accessed your account.
13. If there is a breach
If a breach affects your personal information, we will notify you and the relevant regulators as required by law, without undue delay, and tell you what happened, what was affected and what to do about it.
14. Children
ApplyMe is for adults. You must be at least 18. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18, and delete it if we learn we have. If you believe a minor has given us information, email team@applyme.co.
15. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. If a change materially affects how we use your data or your rights, we will email you before it takes effect. The "Last revised" date above always reflects the current version, and we will provide an earlier version on request.
